Shakira et Gerard Piqué assistent a un match de Basket au Palau Blaugrana , le 25 Avril
Thank God the father is very involved. He has been amazing. The baby spends as much time with me as he does with his dad. He’s the kind of dad who’s full hands on. He changes diapers, he bathes him, he enjoys playing with the baby, he enjoys feeding him, all of that stuff. So that’s great help for me, you know. I can’t imagine doing all of this and not having the father do his part of the job. So that’s a huge help to me

Gerard Pique interview with the Telegraph (10/04/13)
Q: And now you’ve gone from walking around Manchester where no one recognised you to everyone knowing you and your partner. How do you cope with that?
A: It’s all about getting used to it, really. In the beginning it can be irritating because people are following you. But there’s no point in getting cross because it is part of the life I have chosen.
Fans are there and you just have to stay and smile while they take pictures and videos. People at the moment are going through a bad time and the last thing they need is for people like footballers to show themselves to be bad tempered and unapproachable.
Q: You and Shakira have two completely separate and demanding careers. How do you work it together?
A: How do an architect and a doctor do it? We are in two professions that are completely different and it would seem to some that there is a great aura about them, but at the end of the day it’s all about sharing everything with the person you love – ultimately it’s what couples all over the world do. I didn’t play that well, this song didn’t work completely ... we moan and rejoice like everybody else.
